Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Commercial Turf Care Applicator to join our growing team in Denver, Colorado. This role is responsible for applying fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and other turf care products to commercial properties while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, customer-service driven, and experienced in operating application equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid Colorado drivers license with clean driving record
  • Colorado Qualified Supervisor (QS) or Certified Operator pesticide license (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • 1+ year experience in commercial lawn care, landscaping, or turf management preferred
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Excellent time management and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of cool-season turfgrass common to the Denver metro area (e.g., Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass)
  • Experience with GPS-enabled application equipment
  • Understanding of integrated pest management (IPM) principles
  • Basic mechanical skills for equipment troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Apply turf care treatments (fertilizers, weed control, pest control, soil amendments) to commercial landscapes according to company standards and agronomic best practices
  • Calibrate, operate, and maintain spray rigs, spreaders, and related equipment
  • Read and interpret product labels to ensure proper mixing, application rates, and environmental compliance
  • Monitor turf conditions and communicate recommendations to supervisors and clients
  • Maintain accurate service records, chemical usage logs, and required documentation
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of chemicals
  • Ensure compliance with Colorado Department of Agriculture pesticide regulations
  • Provide professional, courteous service to property managers and commercial clients
