About The Position
The uniform production- tunnel operator is a full-time position. working 4–10-hour days, Monday through Thursday (most weeks), from 6a to 430pm. The tunnel operator is responsible for properly hanging garments so they can be sent through a tunnel dryer.
Requirements
- Ability to stand for 10 hours shifts.
- Ability to use both hands repetitively.
- Ability to move/push/pull and carry up to 25 lbs. consistently.
- Ability to multi-task
Responsibilities
- Properly hanging garments
- Visually inspect garments for tears, buttons, id tags, zippers, stains, emblems and all other defects.
- Tags garment for repair
- Assists in tunnel set-up (line speed, correct temperature)
- Audits 2x/day (25-piece grab)
- High degree of attention to detail
