About The Position

TUMBLING INSTRUCTOR Tumbling Instructors teach beginner to intermediate/advanced tumbling classes. This role involves introducing students to various techniques and. This role involves designing and maintaining high-quality programming, planning, creating a fun learning environment, and with professional delivery. The Tumbling Instructor is tasked with maximizing class participation, enhancing participant retention and promoting positive interactions. PROGRAM DATES/TIMES Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Requirements

1+ years experience in leading tumbling or gymnastics classes.
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to run, stoop, kneel, climb, bend, lift, push and pull up to 20 pounds, using proper body mechanics and techniques.
Ability to sustain prolonged visual concentration.
Ability to stand/sit for prolonged periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in teaching tumbling/gymnastics techniques, is preferred but not required.
Experience in program design is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct gymnastics/tumbling instruction to students of various skill levels with provided guide/lesson plans.
Instruct students on proper techniques, form, and safety guidelines
Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Provide feedback to students to help them improve their skills.
Implement behavior management strategies to ensure a productive class environment.
Provide verbal and visual instruction on proper body mechanics.
Modify specific techniques to accommodate various skill levels.
Ensure maximum participation by providing encouragement, movement throughout the class, and individual guidance as needed.
Prepare studio or classroom and ensure cleanliness of all facilities and equipment.
Communicate with participants and parents, depending on program and level, and maintain good relationships with staff and public.
Maintain appropriate safety measures for program participants.
Report any issues with equipment or facility immediately to management.
