Shaw Industries is looking for a Reliability Tech C to serve the Tufting/Warping Department by making necessary repairs and/or adjustments to tufting machines for the purpose of maintaining their efficient and accurate operation.   • Make necessary repairs to tufting machines and warpers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tufting machines and warpers.
  • Make major changes of blades, loopers and needles on tufting machines.
  • Make necessary speed adjustments to tufting machines.
  • Obtain dissection weight checks for the purpose of determining the nature of tufting machine adjustments and make the needed adjustments pending the analysis of the dissection weight checks.
  • Make necessary tufting machine adjustments to accommodate style changes.
  • Troubleshoot machines and warpers for mechanical issues.
  • Perform minor and major overhauls of tufting machines when machine shop work is not required.
  • Repair mending guns and other Tufting/Warper Department equipment.
  • Attend periodic departmental meetings as well as training that will foster continued job improvement.
  • Ability to sit or stand intermittently for at least 8 hours.
  • Ability to climb steps several times per day.
  • Ability to walk through the plant several times per day.
  • Ability to withstand exposure to changes in both temperature and humidity.
  • Ability to apply forces to tools necessary to accomplish the work.
