About The Position
The Surface Lift Attendant/Operator position at Campgaw Mountain Ski Area and Snow Tube Park is a seasonal role that requires individuals to oversee, control, and operate the tubing park surface lifts. This position is essential for ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for guests utilizing the tubing facilities. The role involves performing repetitive loading and unloading tasks, which are critical for the smooth operation of the tubing park. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a friendly and engaging personality to interact effectively with guests and enhance their tubing experience. As a Surface Lift Attendant, you will be responsible for meeting and greeting guests, representing Campgaw Mountain in a professional and cheerful manner. It is crucial to maintain a civil, polite, and courteous demeanor towards all guests and fellow staff members. The role requires coordination with co-workers to assist with tube craft launches and landings, often utilizing two-way radio communications to ensure safety and efficiency. Daily responsibilities include overseeing the tubing area, performing loading and unloading tasks, setting up and removing crowd control and area perimeter net fencing, and managing the collection, distribution, and stowing of snow tubes. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining the tubing chutes, lanes, and park area surfaces, which may involve minor snow surface detailing using tools such as shovels, rakes, and snow drills. This outdoor position demands full attention to the tubing area and the needs of customers, as well as the ability to work in an alpine environment that can present extreme temperatures and varied terrain. Candidates should be prepared for the physical demands of the job and dress appropriately for winter conditions. The company provides uniform jackets, which require a deposit to retain for the entire season. There is also a clear progression path within the position, allowing for advancement from Tubing Park Lift Attendant to Lead Lift Attendant and eventually to Supervisor Lift Attendant.
