About The Position

The Tube Rental Lead is a seasonal leadership role at Mt. Bachelor, perfect for an energetic, organized, and customer-focused individual who enjoys working outdoors. This position is responsible for facilitating equipment rentals and lessons at the SCT warehouse location, ensuring exceptional guest experiences. The lead works with guests of varying ages and supervises tube attendants, overseeing equipment preparation, maintenance, customer transactions, and site cleanliness. The role requires a professional, fun, and energetic individual with strong organizational and communication skills, capable of working outside in all conditions while prioritizing the safety of co-workers and guests. This position provides leadership to Tube Rental Assistants 1 and 2 staff.

Requirements

  • Physically capable of moving equipment throughout the shift.
  • Proficient in POS systems (training provided).
  • Strong POS knowledge to be able to train staff members in proper use.
  • Understand and implement reporting mechanisms.
  • Ability to remain outside in all conditions for long periods of time.
  • Physically capable of assisting with the moving equipment throughout an entire shift.
  • Maintains a professional attitude, supporting the vision of Mt. Bachelor/Sun Country Tours.
  • High School or equivalent education.
  • Minimum age requirement: 18+
  • Ability to shovel snow and walk on steep and uneven surfaces.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assign daily tasks to tube rental attendants and oversee day-to-day operations.
  • Train and support staff in POS systems, safety protocols, guest service, and local knowledge.
  • Conduct daily team huddles focused on safety and service excellence.
  • Supervise setup, maintenance, and teardown of trailers, tubes, PFDs, and canopies.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of all rental equipment and site areas.
  • Assist with instructions and basic river navigation for guests.
  • Use the POS system to sell products and services accurately.
  • Monitor daily cash handling and follow financial procedures.
  • Coordinate reporting and equipment usage with partners (e.g., CET).
  • Communicate with management, staff, and business partners in a professional, upbeat manner.
  • Support additional business areas as needed and help identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and team members.
  • Provide instruction to guests in the operation of paddleboards and river navigation.
  • Clean the shop area, refrigerators, and kitchen.
  • Wash and hang lifejackets as needed.
  • Assist with vehicle clean-up.
  • Repair or replace equipment damaged or lost due to gross negligence that was a specific attendant’s responsibility.
  • Provide input on areas for improvement.
  • Assist in business areas outside of the park operations.
