Tube Laser Operator - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Summary: Set up and operate tube laser to cut material per specification Essential Function: · Set up and operate tube laser machine for cutting · Understand and execute start up and shut down procedures · Operate forklift, pallet jack, hoist, or crane to move product · Produce production parts as per specified requirements · Perform quality inspection to ensure product meets specifications · Monitor machine cutting performance and utilization · Perform lens adjustments for cutting materials as required · Adhere to business management system (BMS), as applicable · Assist with any other duties as assigned Basic Requirements: · Basic math, computer, and written/verbal communication skills · General knowledge of grinders, power tools and other small hand tools, including tape measure and caliper · General manufacturing experience and knowledge of different materials · Understand prints, process sheets, and other documents Physical Exposure: · Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, and lifting · Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs · Oils/solvents on materials · Smoke and flash from laser · Sharp edges on parts or material · Fork truck traffic The above statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the principal functions of the occupation and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the occupation.
