About The Position
The Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) is an agency of the State of Texas and member of The Texas A&M University System. Our staff delivers excellence, value and thought leadership to ensure our research sponsors achieve their goals. The Associate Research Scientist will bring expertise to TTI in the area of aviation and space research with a focus on advanced air mobility (AAM) and next-generation air transportation systems, including electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The ideal candidate will work across TTI’s research groups to conduct applied research and pursue opportunities related to aviation and space. The successful candidate is required to have recognized technical and scientific credentials in this area. The applicant is expected to play a key role in acquiring research funding, identifying new contract opportunities, initiating complex research projects, and serving as Principal Investigator (PI). The successful candidate will promote TTI research, develop new sponsors, identify future research directions, and actively nurture research opportunities.
