About The Position

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Syracuse University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Speech-Language Pathology, beginning with the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a full-time, 8.5-month tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level in a vibrant, research-oriented academic program offering BS, MS, accelerated BS/MS, AuD, AuD/PhD, and PhD degrees. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and sustain a nationally recognized program of research, pursue external funding to support scholarly activities, teach undergraduate and graduate courses in speech-language pathology and related areas, mentor student research projects and advise students academically, and contribute to departmental, college, and university service. Compensation is nationally competitive, and the position carries full eligibility for tenure and promotion.

Requirements

• PhD in Speech-Language Pathology or a related discipline (required).
• Evidence of research productivity and the potential to build a nationally recognized program.
• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in speech-language pathology and related areas.

Nice To Haves

• CCC-SLP and/or clinically relevant experience (desirable, not required).
• Prior university teaching experience.
• Emerging record of scholarship consistent with the assistant professor level.
