About The Position

This program will start on May 12, 2025 and will end on June 5, 2025. This program will result in permanent role with Lippert in Waxahachie, Texas for our second shift sub assembly welding. The Weld Trainee is responsible for learning and developing welding skills applicable to aligning and fitting fabricated steel structures per blueprints with limited supervision.

Requirements

  • No prior experience needed.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Basic computer skills necessary.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and twist throughout the workday; will be required to lift between 50 to 75 pounds.
  • Familiar with welding symbols.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior welding experience and/or manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and develop welding skills applicable to aligning and fitting fabricated steel structures per blueprints.
  • Participate in training sessions including CAD print reading, OSHA and equipment safety, and MIG welding.
  • Complete examinations weekly to determine eligibility to stay in the program.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Communicate effectively within a team setting.
