About The Position

As a TSG Technician, you will work on a team that is responsible for keeping production flowing, meeting performance goals, and maintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our products. You will have the opportunity to do various types of tasks, including testing and maintaining high-speed converting and packing equipment, controlling the process from a computer terminal, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment. From the beginning, you will be getting involved, impacting situations, and influencing business-related problems. THE ROLE In this role you will be responsible for: Troubleshooting and repairing of manufacturing processes and equipment. Find the root cause in any quality issue. Reporting of defective components. Leading equipment and process improvements to support and maintain quality standards. Follow Coty’s Safety Policies and adhere to all processes and procedures that are in place. Adherence to all Health & Safety at Work obligations. Investigating any accident or incident reports on the system. Ensure the workplace is safe and without risks to health both physical and psychological. Reduce the risk of injury or illness in the workplace so far as reasonably practicable. Take care of your own health and safety and the safety of others. Avoid short cuts which could put yourself or someone else at risk. Cooperate with Coty when they are taking action to improve health and safety. Follow safety policies and procedures including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required and ensure the team are compliant also. Report and investigate work-related hazards, incidents and near misses. Complete all required health and safety training. Other health and safety duties as required from time to time.

Requirements

  • An Automation/Mechatronics Engineer program with an accredited university, electrical/mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent experience required.
  • Knowledge of electrical principles and safety standards in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience and proficiency in troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Previous experience performing both preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment
  • Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and PLC troubleshooting
  • Ability to work well with others as well as a part of a team, great problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail is a must.
  • Be able to demonstrate basic computer skills.
  • Be able to lift 55 pounds without assistance.
  • Be able to push and pull 100 pounds without assistance.
  • Be able to frequently seize, grab, hold and turn objects with both hands.
  • Requires eight (8) or more hours of standing and/or walking.
  • Be able to climb ladders, stairs, work at heights and can frequently kneel and stoop
  • Perform basic math and be able to use calculator.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to work well in teams, good interpersonal skills.
  • Have great attention to detail.
  • We are a 3-shift operation, must have ability to support shift as assigned including weekends and holidays and work overtime when needed.
