About The Position

The OfferUp Trust & Safety team plays an important role in helping keep OfferUp a safe and trusted local marketplace. We partner closely with Legal, Customer Service, Analytics, and law enforcement agencies to identify harmful activity, protect our users, and support investigations when needed. We’re looking for a highly curious and resourceful Investigator to join the team. This role is ideal for someone who naturally asks questions, enjoys digging into details, and likes solving problems others might overlook. You don’t need years of investigative experience, but you do need strong instincts for asking the right questions, following information across systems, and connecting dots. This position works under the direction of the Trust & Safety Manager, who will provide ongoing mentorship, hands-on training, and a structured onboarding plan to help you build the skills needed to investigate fraud and suspicious activity on our marketplace. • In regard to vacation time, OfferUp has a flexible vacation policy, and, in general, full-time, exempt employees will be expected to take 3-5 weeks (15-30 days) of pre-planned vacation time per year. Vacation needs are flexible and will naturally vary from year to year based on individual circumstances and business needs.
• In regard to sick time, all full-time employees (exempt and non-exempt) will be granted 12 days (96 hours) of sick time per year (pro-rated if the start date is other than January 1).
