Job Description U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services is one of the largest providers of corporate trust services in the world. Our clients look to us for trustee, agency, escrow, document custody and money market issuing services via our 48 domestic offices and three international offices. The Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO) and Global Structured Finance (GSF) groups are divisions within U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services and provide services on structured finance vehicles that issue both debt and equity liabilities, the proceeds of which are used to buy a portfolio of collateral such as syndicated bank loans, corporate bonds, ABS, MBS, CMBS and Mezzanine debt. These services include Trust Reporting, which requires review of the deal documents, set up of cashflow priorities, collection of periodic asset activity data, reporting to bondholders, and when required, trust tax reporting. Essential functions include: Read and interpret trust indentures with regard to reporting requirements. Create technical report specifications from indenture language. Make tax elections, file for EIN’s, and track residual holder transfers. Prepare, review, and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual payment and/or tax reports in accordance with deal documents and regulatory requirements. Investigate and resolve reporting, payment, and tax discrepancies by analyzing system outputs, collateral data, and deal documentation. Troubleshoot complex deal issues across multiple in-house systems and escalate to subject-matter experts as appropriate. Perform quality control review of reports, meeting timeliness and accuracy standards. The role also performs administrative and operational support activities related to trust reporting and tax processing, including, but not limited to, monitoring digital mailboxes and physical mail for tax correspondence, printing and mailing annual returns and related filings, coordinating Schedule Q and factor requests and distributions, sending routine communications such as monthly termination notices, maintaining internal tracking and records of filings, mailings, and correspondence, and performing other related administrative duties as required. Frequent interaction with asset managers, investors, and internal partners is required to respond to inquiries and resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Less than two years of relevant work experience

  • Basic understanding of syndicated bank loans, fixed income securities, securitization, trading or mutual funds
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data
