About The Position
Wells Fargo is seeking a Trust Officer on the Special Needs Trust Services team as part of Wealth and Investment Management. In this role, you will administer Special Needs Trusts for beneficiaries with varying degrees of disability and/or incapacity. You will work with trust partners, attorneys, caseworkers, and other professionals to ensure that Special Needs Trusts are administered in conformity with trust provisions, bank policies, Social Security regulations, Medicaid regulations, and other legal requirements. The position involves working with families of disabled individuals and field trust officers to determine the needs of beneficiaries and appropriate distributions from trusts. You will also administer trusts in a manner that prevents disqualification of beneficiaries from SSI/Medicaid and other means-tested government benefit programs. Additionally, you will identify risk issues on Special Needs Trust accounts and work to resolve such issues while collaborating with peers, colleagues, and managers to achieve goals.
