The Trust and Estate Settlement Support Associate provides administrative, operational, and client service support to the Trust and Estate Settlement team. This role ensures the efficient execution of post-mortem trust and estate settlement services by assisting with documentation, communication, and coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Assist in the administration of post-mortem trust and estate settlements, including document preparation, file maintenance, and deadline tracking.
  • Coordinate and schedule client meetings, prepare meeting materials, and follow up on action items.
  • Support the collection and organization of information required for estate and trust reporting, tax filings, and legal documentation.
  • Maintain the integrity of client files and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor account activity and cash positions to ensure sufficient liquidity for distributions and expenses.
  • Facilitate communication with beneficiaries, co-fiduciaries, and professional advisors.
  • Assist with onboarding new estate and trust accounts, including account opening and documentation review.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, including fee reviews, estate summaries, and court filings.
  • Support internal and external outreach initiatives, including educational events and Center of Influence (COI) engagement.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Trust and Estate Settlement team, including project coordination and special assignments.
  • Knowledge of trust and estate administration processes.
  • Basic estate and tax law principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and trust accounting systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree, particularly in Business or Finance.
  • 2+ years of experience in fiduciary services, estate administration, or financial services.
