About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Gift Administration, this position assists in the administration of the University’s trust, annuity, pooled income funds, planned giving and endowment programs. The Trust and Endowment Analyst also assists in providing comprehensive gift-processing support to University Development and Alumni Engagement, including maintaining required accounting records, processing gift documents and auditing transactions. The role of the University Development & Alumni Engagement Division is to foster strong relationships with internal and external partners to enhance support for Cal Poly. University Development & Alumni Engagement (UDAE) establishes and implements an overall development program, including coordinating fundraising, and alumni programs.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of office systems, methods, procedures and practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand problems from a broader perspective and anticipate the impact of office administration problems and solutions on other areas.
  • Ability to analyze operational and procedural problems and recommend and evaluate proposed solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively communicate information in a clear and understandable manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly and accurately produce letters, spreadsheets, agreements and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university.
  • One year of technical or administrative experience.
  • A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
  • Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
