There are two types of trussing that must be performed (full body and just hocks.) To full body truss, wrap the band around the wing, twist the band, pull band down, push legs into band, and flip bird off the cone onto conveyor. To truss hocks only, pull the bird off the cone, wrap the band around the legs twice, and toss bird onto conveyor. The trusser also grades birds, anything that is missing (body parts or incorrect size) is removed and tossed over into blue tote. Perform all duties assigned by supervisor. Job Involves: A. Following instructions B. Keeping work area clean C. Washing hands at all designated stations when coming on or going off the production floor. D. knowledge of, and adherence to all clean room policies. E. Standing, reaching, grasping, pinching, and pulling. F. Standing 100 % G. Ability to work in cold environment. H. Excellent eye hand coordination I. Must be able to use knives/scissors. J. Must have full use of both hands/arms. K. Ability to ambulate freely including stepping up onto stands as well as moving across wet concrete floors.
