About The Position

Truss Production Crew Members cut and assemble roof and floor trusses in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role that involves working with saws, lumber, metal connector plates, and industrial equipment. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Thorough understanding of, or ability to quickly learn production equipment.
• The use of basic math and measuring skills.
• Understanding of, and ability to abide by, applicable OSHA, and environmental regulations.
• The ability to adjust the controls of a machine or vehicle quickly and repeatedly to exact positions.
• Must be available and willing to work such overtime per day or week as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training.

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• General carpentry and millwork knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows detailed instructions to assemble roof and floor trusses per engineered drawings.
• Reads layouts and shop tickets.
• Gathers and arranges necessary parts for products together in specified relationship to each other as instructed.
• Bolts, clips, screws, rivets, compounds, trims, presses, saws, or otherwise fastens required parts together accurately.
• Inspects completed trusses for quality.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Meets daily production goals.
• Attends team meetings and company training sessions as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
