About The Position

Creates designs and material lists from blueprints, photos or drawings sent from local store location and regionally assigned locations ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints of prospective and current customers and then preparing full cabinet designs on projects as required by client’s documents. This includes providing complete final material list. Show competency in reviewing designs, material lists and revisions for completeness and accuracy Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc. Ensure material list results in the most complete estimates possible while ensuring financial objectives are met. Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Generates materials lists for individual projects based on standard, local building codes and submits materials lists to the store(s) in a timely manner Ensures quality customer service through personal and/or phone interaction with retail store employees. May assist retail store employees with product information and answering questions as necessary, including product usage and application, and/or blueprint changes or edits May consult customers concerning questions or concerns on blueprints and materials lists Attends and participates in store or regional meetings, continuing education, and/or company/department training sessions as required SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities QUALIFICATIONS Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Must be able to perform and comprehend basic business and financial calculations Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Ability to utilize strong multi-tasking, organizational, prioritization, and follow-up skills necessary for managing multiple projects at one time in a professional manner and under minimal supervision Ability to utilize company point-of-sale system (MAC21), Microsoft Word & Excel, estimating software (PreBuilt ML), cabinet design software (20/20 design) and other 3rd party software applications at a basic level Knowledge and understanding of reading and interpreting blueprints and structural designs, including calculating necessary information for bid and quote processes WORK AVAILABILITY Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined by management Must be regularly available and willing to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, or such other hours per day or hours per week as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs Must be available and willing to work such overtime per day or per week as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet business needs Must be available and willing to work such weekends and holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS This position may require occasional travel with overnight stays Must meet driver’s license and driver eligibility requirements of the Company Must have current auto liability insurance Must be able to use company or personal vehicle to visit customers, job sites and purchasing offices of company accounts PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
