About The Position
The Truss Designer position at Midwest Manufacturing involves specialized work focused on the preparation and development of truss designs. This role is crucial for helping the company maintain its competitive edge in both the commercial and residential building markets, as well as in the remodeling sector. Truss Designers are responsible for identifying emerging building trends and subsequently designing and implementing innovative structural and truss designs that align with these evolving styles. The position offers a unique opportunity for individuals to enhance their skills and advance their careers, with potential pathways into leadership roles within the Truss Design department. In this role, you will be expected to define and implement structural and truss designs that meet the needs of various building projects. You will also assist team members in resolving any structural design problems that may arise during the course of these projects. Additionally, troubleshooting onsite expansion projects will be a key responsibility, ensuring that all designs are optimized for production. The position may also involve working with I-joist systems and floor systems, further broadening your expertise in structural design.
