About The Position

We're looking for detail-oriented and driven individuals to join our team as Truss Designers. In this role, you'll interpret architectural plans to develop accurate and optimized roof and floor truss placement layouts through MiTek (SE). Your work will play a crucial role in ensuring all designs meet our current 84 Components standards and policies. You'll also be responsible for designing roof and floor trusses that meet structural requirements while maximizing efficiency, specifying all necessary hardware and materials for each job, keeping project documentation up to date, including Job Tracking Sheets, communicating directly with customers, collaborating with sales teams, maintaining a well-organized workspace, and participating in team meetings. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous MiTek experience who is interested in keep growing within the Design career. Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos

Responsibilities

• Reading architectural plans to create truss placement layouts
• Design roof and floor trusses in engineering software
• Specifying all necessary hardware and materials for each job
• Keeping project documentation up to date, including Job Tracking Sheets
• Communicating directly with customers, including sending approval letters and providing support when needed
• Collaborating with sales teams and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Maintaining a well-organized workspace and properly logging all design plans
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to internal committees as needed
