About The Position

84 Lumber is seeking experienced Truss Builders to join our truss manufacturing facility in Cartersville, GA . This role is responsible for assembling wood trusses according to production specifications while meeting established safety, quality, and productivity standards. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Prior truss building, framing, or manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work in a production-driven environment
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, standing, bending, and repetitive motion
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Able to read and write in their primary language.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Able to read or able to learn to read a set up sheet.
Able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assemble wood trusses by reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and production documents
Safely operate hand and power tools used in truss manufacturing
Meet or exceed established board-foot production standards
Perform quality checks to ensure trusses meet company and customer specifications
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and plant procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to maintain production flow
Assist with training and mentoring less experienced associates as needed
Read and understand set-up sheets.
Position plates properly.
Operate gantry.
Verify lumber accuracy with sheets.
Verify truss set up is accurate.
Perform daily operator maintenance.
Maintain 100% crew efficiency.
Mark individual trusses when required.
Train Builder Associates.
