About The Position

This is a full-time position working with components in the lumber & building material industry. The Truss Assembler will be responsible for the assembly of at least one product type: roofs, floors, or wall trusses. The more product types learned, the greater the earning potential. Prior construction experience is helpful. The role requires the use of hand tools and related equipment. Central States Component Systems operates Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays required based on business needs and season. Builders has been serving the community for 40 years. Requirements

  • Ability to use hand tools and related equipment.
  • Full knowledge of at least one product type position and ability to assemble at that position on an assigned production table to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

  • Prior construction experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Has full knowledge of at least (1) position of at least (1) product type and can assemble at that position on an assigned production table to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assemble component parts on layout table and fasten parts together with power press and/or nailer.
  • Stack finished products in an organized manner, according to order number of truss type.
  • Monitor material/product quality for obvious defects.
  • Assures proper materials such as lumber grade and plates are used.
