Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience preferred.
Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple responsibilities.
Knowledge about drivers' qualification files and trucking equipment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in logistics or transportation of 1+ years is a plus but not required.
Basic mechanical skills are a plus.
Bilingual (English/Korean) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and state-specific safety regulations.
Maintain and update driver qualification files, vehicle maintenance records, and safety audits.
Manage Hours of Service (HOS) and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) compliance.
Conduct new hire safety orientations and ongoing driver training programs.
Provide coaching, counseling, and retraining for drivers with safety violations or accidents.
Promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the fleet.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports.
Work with insurance and claims departments to resolve incidents.
Develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
Conduct regular audits of logs, DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports), and maintenance records.
Monitor CSA (Compliance, Safety, Accountability) scores and take proactive measures to improve them.
Track safety KPIs, including accident frequency, violations, and training completion.
Serve as the primary contact for DOT audits, inspections, and safety-related inquiries.
Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and HR to ensure safety policies are followed.
Provide regular safety performance reports to leadership.
