Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge about drivers' qualification files and trucking equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in logistics or transportation of 1+ years is a plus but not required.
  • Basic mechanical skills are a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Korean) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and state-specific safety regulations.
  • Maintain and update driver qualification files, vehicle maintenance records, and safety audits.
  • Manage Hours of Service (HOS) and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) compliance.
  • Conduct new hire safety orientations and ongoing driver training programs.
  • Provide coaching, counseling, and retraining for drivers with safety violations or accidents.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the fleet.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports.
  • Work with insurance and claims departments to resolve incidents.
  • Develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct regular audits of logs, DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports), and maintenance records.
  • Monitor CSA (Compliance, Safety, Accountability) scores and take proactive measures to improve them.
  • Track safety KPIs, including accident frequency, violations, and training completion.
  • Serve as the primary contact for DOT audits, inspections, and safety-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and HR to ensure safety policies are followed.
  • Provide regular safety performance reports to leadership.
