About The Position

The Trucking Leader at The Boring Company will manage trucking operations for construction sites in Las Vegas, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of materials and equipment. This role requires strong leadership skills to oversee a team of truck drivers, coordinate logistics, and maintain compliance with safety regulations while contributing to the growth of the trucking fleet.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a trucking or logistics role, preferably in a construction or heavy equipment environment.
  • Proven experience in hiring, managing, and leading a team of truck drivers or operators.
  • Experience working with trucking fleets or logistics teams on large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of trucking operations, construction site logistics, and heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with scheduling, fleet management, and material handling.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards related to trucking and construction sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record.
  • OSHA certification.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor construction environment, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Comfort with being on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day trucking operations on the construction site, ensuring timely delivery and removal of materials, equipment, and waste.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and procurement teams to align trucking schedules with project timelines.
  • Manage and track truck routes, loads, and deliveries to minimize downtime and prevent delays on-site.
  • Lead and supervise a team of truck drivers and operators, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage driver schedules, monitor attendance, and address performance or disciplinary issues.
  • Ensure all trucking operations comply with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate the movement of trucks and materials on-site to optimize efficiency and minimize congestion or delays.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of trucks and heavy equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of trucking activities, including delivery schedules, load reports, and maintenance logs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance trucking operations efficiency.
