About The Position

SUMMARY: The Truck Jockey/Washer is responsible for backing tractors trailers into loading dock. They are also responsible for unhooking and hooking trailers from tractors, fueling equipment, recording internal temperature of trailers and wash/detail trucks and components as well as other shop duties as instructed by the Transportation Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive trucks as Hook up and unhook trailers and tractors safely and efficiently. Operating all equipment within the tractor and trailer including but not limited to, lighting, temperature controls, tandems, etc. Recording all necessary documentation pertaining to logging of temperatures, sanitation, and Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Company, and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities. Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work. Ensure all trucks and trailers are washed in a timely manner in accordance with procedures set by the Transportation Manager, while following all Upper Lakes Foods safety procedures. Involves working in wet conditions while bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting & climbing ladder. Requirements

  • Education High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience One to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of and education and experience.
  • Skills Familiarity with pressure washer and the ability to use
  • Ability to understand instructions written and verbal
  • Certification, Licenses, Registrations Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) a benefit, but not
