About The Position

Great opportunity for an experienced Truck/Trailer Mechanic in Valdosta, GA! FW Carrier is a dedicated carrier servicing Dillard’s private fleet since 1980. Our maintenance shop in Valdosta is actively seeking a motivated truck/trailer mechanic with a minimum of 5 years of experience working on dry van pup trailers. Our fleet consists of 1350 trailers and 160 dollies. Day shift, Mon-Fri 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Full time position with great benefits Up to $38.00 Per Hour Depending on Experience Job Location: Valdosta, GA

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working on dry van pup trailers
• Bumper-to-bumper preventive maintenance and repairs
• Electrical repair and troubleshooting
• The ability to identify the source of malfunctions using a variety of testing equipment including electronic testing equipment
• ABS service including diagnostics
• Must have your own tools
• Self-motivated
• Work well with others
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical

Responsibilities

• Experience in all repairs on both trailers and converter dollies
• FMCSA inspections
• Enter electronic work orders and charge out parts
• Shop cleanliness, safety and compliance
• Follow policy and procedures in making all repairs
• Roll doors experience
• Welding experience
