The Truck Tire Technician (TTT) at Continental is a vital role responsible for preparing commercial vehicle tires for warehousing. This position requires the technician to utilize hand tools, gauges, and various machinery to ensure the quality and safety of the tires. The technician will be tasked with removing vents and flash from the tires, inspecting them for defects, and making necessary repairs to maintain high standards of quality. The role also involves notifying relevant departments of any anomalies detected during the inspection process. In addition to the inspection and preparation of tires, the Truck Tire Technician will operate all finishing machines, x-ray machines, and any support machinery within the Commercial Final Finish department. A critical aspect of this role is the responsibility for 100% inspection of truck tires, determining their disposition according to established standards, and removing any off-standard tires from the conveyors for further inspection. The technician must maintain effective communication with various departments, including Commercial Curing, Commercial Assembly, and Warehouse, to ensure a seamless workflow. The technician is also expected to adhere to all plant policies, including environmental and safety policies, ensuring that all work areas are kept clean and orderly. Following standard practices for the job and performing all necessary work to achieve quality and quantity production is essential. The role may also involve additional duties as directed by the Commercial Final Finish Supervisor, Lead Supervisor, or Department Manager, and ensuring compliance with all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements is mandatory.
