GENERAL POSITION OVERVIEW Securing Truck rate including CNT or House truck. Negotiate with trucker to secure competitive rate. Research US and Canada trucking market.

Requirements

Communication skills with co-workers.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn knowledge of shipping industry and intermodal truck operations.
Computer skills, able to work with MS office tools such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
General understanding of International Container Business especially inland service in US area.
High School diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in 3PL (Third-Party Logistics), supply chain, or the transportation industry is preferred but not required.
Experience in a fast-paced office environment or customer service-oriented role is a plus.

Responsibilities

Source trucking companies from various web sites and internal programs.
Maintain trucking companies rate tariff.
Maintain trucking companies contact information for job orders and rate requests.
Work directly with trucking companies and HMM Pricing departments.
Process CNT trucking requests.
Assist Truck Dispatch when needed to secure truck power and address truckers rate questions.
Assist Truckers with E-Truck questions and issues.
Ensure new truck vendors are set up correctly and completely in system.
Performs other duties as assigned.
