About The Position

This position is responsible for all phases of mechanical duties from tire changing to engine repair while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Applicants will be considered for any mechanic start type opening on any shift, such as day, evening or night shift as well as overtime and weekends if required. Must accept work in a cold or warm environment. Some duties require lifting, pushing and pulling up to 70+ lbs. Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching and pulling.

Requirements

1 year mechanical or maintenance experience or equivalent technical certificate in mechanical field from accredited school listed in application.
Minimum tool list will be required to be accepted for this position. Please see list below.
1 year electrical/electronic experience or equivalent technical certificate in electrical/electronic field from accredited school required.
CDL preferred.

Minimum Tool List Combination wrenches: SAE ¼ -1-1/4: Metric 6-26 3/8 drive sockets: SAE ¼ -15/16: Metric 6-20 deep and shallow sockets: at least 1 ratchet 1. 3-inch extension 1. 6-inch extension. ½ inch drive sockets: SAE 9/16 -1-1/4: Metric 14-26 deep and shallow sockets: at least 1 ratchet 1.3-inch extension 1. 6-inch extension. Straight and Philips screwdrivers of various length. Torques head bits or screwdrivers: t5-t55. Allen wrenches or bits 1/16 – 5/16 inch; Metric 1.5-5.5 3 different length pry bars Pliers to include needle nose, channel lock style, vise grip. 2 different size crescent wrenches. 12-volt electrical test light Hammers Securable toolbox big enough to hold all tools.
