Kenworth Sales Company, a 38-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group, is looking for a Truck Sales Representative to join our Manassas , VA team. Due to federally mandated DOT regulations, Kenworth Sales Company is a drug-free workplace. Any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screening. JOB SUMMARY: The primary function of the Truck Sales Representative i s to solicit and assist customers in the ordering and purchasing of trucks.

  • Assists the customer in identifying what model and components will su it h i s/her needs
  • Coordinates with Truck Sales Manager or GM on all Truck Sales.
  • Creates and submits a written proposal for new truck sales identifying model, component specification, build schedule and cost to customer for acceptance.
  • Coordinates all such bids with Truck Sales Manager and /or GM to assure accuracy.
  • Completes all n ecessary paperwork for submission of new truck orders to manufacturer.
  • Coord in ates ordering proc ess with Sales Coordinator.
  • Assists Finance & Insurance department in completing all paperwork necessary for closing of sale, including payment documentation, l icensing, and titling.
  • Coordinates closing with Finance Manager.
  • Assists customer with any problems which may arise in connection with the sale of the equipment.
  • Maintains courteous and continuing relations with customer base and working knowledge of customers' base industries and equipment needs.
  • Promotes the sale of Company parts and service.
  • Fac ilitates communications between customer and these other departments.
  • Maintain s a superior level of knowledge and expertise in the trucking industr y in genera l and Kenworth Trucks in particular.
  • Attends such training courses and seminars as required by Corporate Sales Director.
  • Outside Sales Reports are to be filled out completely and turn ed in daily by 5:00 pm, to Truck Sales Manager or GM.
  • Truck Sales person’s wo rk day shall always start and end physically present at the Dealership. Unless previously approved b y Truck Sales Manager or GM.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions and information
  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Excellent communication, organization, and supervisory skills
  • Broad knowledge of all types of new and used Class 7 and 8 trucks and th e ir components
  • Familiarity with trucking Industry, computer systems, ten-key calcu l ator, and large data bases
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License and good driving record required
