About The Position
Truck Mechanic / Diesel Technician - Light/Medium Duty2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday Schedule! 4 - 10 Hour Shifts w/ Shift Differential Pay!Up To $7,500 Hiring Bonus! Are you an experienced Light/Medium Duty Gas / Diesel Technician looking for a good new opportunity? Clarke Power, an industry leader, is currently looking for a Truck Mechanic / Diesel Technician - Light/Medium Duty on 1st shift Wednesday - Saturday. Requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.
- No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card
Nice To Haves
- Preferred – Diesel or Automotive Program Certificate or degree
- Experience with some or all of the following engine platforms. Cummins, Power Stroke, Duramax, LS, Triton, and Godzilla
- ASE Certifications a big plus.
- State Inspector License also a big plus
- CDL a plus
- Company may assist with obtaining additional certificates / licenses
Responsibilities
- Familiar with all aspects of light and medium duty chassis, suspension, HVAC, engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
- Excellent diagnostic skills
- Diagnose cause of non-conformance, identify corrective action necessary to correct non-conformance.
- Diagnose and repair basic equipment wiring.
- Must be able to use computer diagnostics
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Implement and enforce Health and Safety legislations, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
