About The Position

Are you an experienced Light/Medium Duty Gas / Diesel Technician looking for a good new opportunity? Clarke Power, an industry leader, is currently looking for a 2nd Shift Truck Mechanic / Diesel Technician - Light/Medium Duty. Requirements

• 3+ years' experience
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie, DUI/DWI).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card

Nice To Haves

• Preferred – Diesel or Automotive Program Certificate or degree
• Experience with some or all of the following engine platforms. Cummins, Power Stroke, Duramax, LS, Triton, and Godzilla
• ASE Certifications a big plus.
• State Inspector License also a big plus.
• CDL a plus

Responsibilities

• Familiar with all aspects of light and medium-duty chassis, suspension, HVAC, engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
• Excellent diagnostic skills
• Diagnose the cause of non-conformance and identify the corrective action necessary to correct non-conformance.
• Diagnose and repair basic equipment wiring.
• Must be able to use computer diagnostics
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
