About The Position
Join us and help us create lifelong readers! We are currently in search of Part Time Seasonal Warehouse associates to help our facilities load and unload our trucks that will deliver book fairs to schools. These part time seasonal positions offer a variety of hours to work during the peaks of the school year (Monday-Friday) and are typically off during summer and winter school leave periods. The position is located in Strongsville, OH, with scheduled hours from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and offers a competitive pay rate of $17.50 per hour. As a Truck Loader and Unloader, you will assist in the production of book fairs by packing metal cases, boxes, and displays with book and non-book products, according to corporate processes and procedures while meeting productivity and quality standards. You will demonstrate proficiency in packing all components and sub-components for all cases, boxes, and displays, ensuring that the condition of all outbound cases, boxes, and displays are clean, safe, and in good condition. Additionally, you will assist in processing returned book fairs by unpacking metal cases, boxes, and displays, monitor inventory levels on applicable component product lines, and learn basic scanner proficiency for item inquiries and replenishment requests. You will also be responsible for maintaining a neat, clean, safe, and organized work area, participating in seasonal inventory production-line resets, and assisting in conducting Customer Appreciation Warehouse Sale Events. Safety is paramount, and you will ensure that all warehouse equipment and tools are properly utilized to increase productivity, efficiency, and safety. You will report any unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or injuries to your supervisor or manager immediately. This role requires compliance with a drug and alcohol-free policy and the ability to lift/carry 50 lbs and push/pull up to 350 lb book cases (on wheels/with handles) with or without reasonable accommodation.
