About The Position

Hadco Metal Trading distributes and supplies metal products including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, related alloys, and mechanical grade plastics. Hadco Metal products include plate, sheet, and extensive offerings of long products for general engineering, aerospace, and commercial markets. Our range of precision cutting equipment includes waterjet, band saws, disc plate saws, and shears. Hadco Metal Trading branches are located strategically in New York, Philadelphia, Connecticut, Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Georgia, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and California with transfer stations located throughout the East, Midwest and West allowing a nationwide presence and coverage with next day delivery. Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 9:00AM-6:00PM Training: Monday-Friday 9:00AM-6:00PM Position Summary: Safely offload raw material and completed orders from shuttle, reload flatbed trucks for deliveries, and utilize ERP system to access manifests and other material documents.

Requirements

  • Willing and able to work Sunday-Thursday, 9:00AM-6:00M.
  • Proven work history of commitment and dedication.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Commitment to report to work on time and as scheduled.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a safe forklift operator in a distribution environment preferred.
  • Computer skills include Excel, ERP systems, and email.
  • Basic math skills include measuring fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb on to truck beds as needed.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklift to offload raw material customer orders from shuttle.
  • Safely load completed orders onto flatbed trucks for deliveries.
  • Assure that the material is loaded without damage and for optimum delivery schedules.
  • Scan material documents to maintain accurate inventory and shipping records.
  • Utilize company ERP system and Excel for routing, inventory, and other necessary information.
  • Comply with transportation-related policies, for proper distribution of weight per DOT and government regulations.
  • Promote safe work activities and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
