About The Position

Evening & Overnight Truck Gate Security – Full Time – St. Joseph, MO Wage: $19.00/HR Join our team at Securitas Security where you will have the opportunity to serve your community while receiving elite training in safety and security. Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• CPR / FA / AED certification required within 30 days of hire, certification and training will be provided by the company.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service background preferred.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus!!

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Conduct foot patrols inside / outside the client’s premises, potentially in various weather conditions and in different types of terrain using a handheld device.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Provide detailed report writing.
• Process trucks in / out of the facility.
• Process paperwork and update client electronic tracking systems.
• Check the backs of trucks and verify load status via a moveable staircase.
• Monitor cameras.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
