We’re seeking an experienced Trucking Foreperson to oversee, inspire, and coordinate our dedicated team of company and leased truck drivers. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or 3-4 years of experience supervising and scheduling drivers required; prior experience in trucking or construction is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and construction software.
  • Solid understanding of the trucking industry, aggregate production, and construction logistics.
  • Ability to safely operate a variety of equipment as needed.
  • Strong commitment to safety standards and adherence to company policies.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites and work away from home when required.
  • Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and willingness to assist colleagues and management.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as necessary to achieve company objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • prior experience in trucking or construction is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support company drivers, promoting a culture of efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee leased drivers, ensuring full compliance with company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, as well as the safe and timely delivery of materials.
  • Strategically coordinate driver assignments to meet production facility requirements, optimizing resource utilization and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and preparation for all company and leased drivers, maintaining accurate documentation and policy acknowledgments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers, proactively resolving any issues related to material deliveries.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and files for all leased drivers, contracts, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and update spreadsheets, databases, and reports to monitor and enhance driver performance.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating team to provide trucking rates and insights for project bids.
  • Foster strong cross-departmental relationships to support company-wide goals.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
  • Maintain exceptional attendance and reliability to ensure smooth daily operations.
