About The Position

Lhoist North America is seeking a dedicated individual to load and deliver lime slurry to customers. The position involves completing pre/post inspections on equipment to ensure compliance with DOT regulations. The role includes operating and maintaining equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with various regulations, and training local contractors in safe handling procedures.

Requirements

• Must have a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement (N).
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and fleet equipment.
• Excellent fleet mechanical skills.
• Ability to maneuver fleet equipment in heavy city traffic and remote job locations.
• Maintain concentration, alertness, and attention to detail for an extended period.
• Ability to resolve issues with limited supervision.
• Occasional shift work, including some weekends and holidays.
• Availability for occasional out of state deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver slurry shipments in a safe and timely manner.
• Read and interpret various gauges and instruments used in loading and handling equipment.
• Analyze and evaluate work conditions and make adjustments to equipment as necessary.
• Perform equipment inspections in accordance with DOT requirements.
• Make minor repairs to equipment as needed to maintain fleet operation.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, safety, TCEQ, and environmental regulations.
• Educate and train local contractors in the safe handling of quicklime/slurry and emergency medical procedures.
