The Truck Driver role involves operating CDL vehicles for local and regional runs, ensuring proper load securement, assisting with equipment handling, performing inspections and maintaining logs, caring for equipment, coordinating with jobsite personnel, and providing general warehouse support.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL A or B, current DOT medical card, and insurable MVR.
  • 1+ year commercial driving experience (school + supervised experience considered).
  • Strong knowledge of load securement for flatbed/stake bed; able to safely use chains/straps/binders, tarps.
  • Able to lift 75 lbs, climb, work outdoors, and navigate active construction sites.
  • Reliable, punctual, professional communication with team and customers.
  • Must pass background check & drug screen; complete I-9 verification.

Nice To Haves

  • Flatbed/lowboy experience; construction deliveries.
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain quickly).
  • Rigging/signalperson familiarity; OSHA-10 within 30 days.
  • Tanker and/or HazMat endorsements.
  • Experience delivering pipe, mechanical equipment, and large HVAC units.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CDL vehicle (Class A flatbed/tractor-trailer/lowboy or Class B stake bed/box/dump) for local and regional runs.
  • Strap/chain/binder per FMCSA; protect loads (pipe, steel, equipment, HVAC units, fixtures).
  • Use forklift/telehandler or jobsite equipment to assist with loading/unloading; coordinate with rigging/crane as needed.
  • Perform pre/post-trip inspections, document defects, keep ELD/HOS compliant, maintain BOLs and delivery paperwork.
  • Keep truck/trailer clean and road-worthy; report maintenance needs promptly.
  • Communicate ETA, site access, and staging with Dispatch, Foremen, and PMs; follow site safety rules and PPE.
  • Help warehouse with material staging, returns, and occasional will-call pickups.
