About The Position

We are seeking a self-motivated individual to work within our Manure Management and Farming areas. This position would primarily pull a side dump to haul dirt, commodities, and manure. This person will be responsible for: Working/driving safely on-/off-road and in the feedlot environments, following all company and other applicable safety guidelines. Operating assigned equipment (i.e. truck and various types of trailers, loader) in a safe and efficient manner. Loading, safely transporting and unloading manure, silage, flaked corn and non-routine materials to intended destinations. Ensuring contents are properly secured to prevent damage, injury and/or spillage. Inspecting equipment for mechanical and safety issues and performing routine preventative maintenance on equipment. Observing and reporting equipment or mechanical failures immediately. Planning transportation routes and meeting delivery transportation schedules. Maintaining detailed delivery logs. Seeking ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business. Assisting in additional special projects as needed. Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications: Mechanical interest and aptitude is preferred. Working knowledge of diesel equipment. Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making. Driven, organized, action-oriented, analytical, and ability to multi-task. High attention to detail. Comfortable working independently. Commitment to safety and quality culture. Clean motor vehicle record.

Requirements

  • Valid Drivers License with CDL (preferred).
  • Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, 25-50 pounds of force frequently and 10-20 pounds of force constantly.
  • Standing, sitting, walking, carrying, and lifting/lowering frequently; pushing/pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, reaching/handling/grasping, and kneeling/crouching occasionally; crawling and stairs rarely.
  • Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
