About The Position

FULL OR PART TIME Pay: $22 to $26/HR Part time Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7am to 12pm 20-24 Hours per week.  Full time schedule: Monday - Thursday 5:00am-3:00pm 40 Hours per week.  Lake Air Products is a fast-growing company that is proud to live by our Core Values, Customer Focus, Passion for Performance, and Right People-Best Teams. We are looking for a Part-Time Non-CDL Box Truck Driver, OR a Full-Time Non-CDL Box Truck Driver/Assembler.

Requirements

  • Valid state driver’s license (not be probationary) for the last 3 years.
  • Must pass a MVR check for all states held in for the last 3 years and submit to annual MVR checks.
  • Must pass drug screening including and a background check.
  • Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
  • Must be willing to be subject to random drug & alcohol testing.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation, including, but not limited to:
  • Constant standing; frequently handling various parts
  • Frequent walking, reaching at waist level, pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching, fine motor dexterity
  • Occasionally sitting, reaching overhead, reaching at shoulder level, reaching at knee and floor level, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, ladder/stair climbs, pivoting, twisting, and neck extension/rotation.
  • Handling and lifting of parts and/or equipment (minimum of 50 lbs. lifting/carrying and 50 lb. pushing/pulling is required).
  • Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment(varies per facility)
  • Read fine print and distinguish colors.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Transport materials to and from specified destinations.
  • Maintain truck log (inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water) according to state and federal regulations
  • Load and unload truck using forklift.
  • Secures loads for safe transport.
  • May Package, label, and palletize parts as instructed.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Organizes parts and subassemblies for efficient assembly process.
  • May uses necessary equipment in area including paint dispenser (varies per plant and assembly line).
  • Examines parts for proper fit.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component/product.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
