About The Position

This position is for a Container Truck Driver at International Paper's Laurens Container Facility. The role involves driving a truck to deliver corrugated sheets and boxes, performing daily safety inspections, completing Department of Transportation (DOT) paperwork, and handling Bill of Lading documentation. The driver is responsible for verifying delivery information, noting any shipping damage, hooking and unhooking trailers, completing customer delivery and unloading time sheets, and picking up pallets or rejected materials. Additionally, the role includes obtaining customer signatures for pickups or deliveries and performing routine cleaning and maintenance on the truck. Requirements

Must have CDL
At least 2 years of over the road experience
10 year safe driving record

Responsibilities

Drives truck to deliver corrugated sheets and boxes
Responsible for daily safety inspection of truck
Fills out paperwork required by DOT
Delivers Bill of Lading to customer, obtains signature and returns to IP
Verify delivery information, counts, order number, appearance and notes any shipping damage incurred
Hook and unhook from trailer
Completes customer delivery and unloading time sheets
Picks up pallets or rejected material
Issues or obtains customer signature on the receipt for pickup or delivery
Cleans inside of truck and performs routine maintenance on truck
