To learn more about our family company, please visit us on on the web at www.team1elite.com Our truck drivers must have a relentless focus on safety and customer service and meet the following minimum requirements: Be at least 21 years of age Possess a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) Possess (or be willing to obtain) a doubles endorsement Possess (or be able to obtain) a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) medical examiners certificate Pass a DOT CDL drug screen and criminal background and motor vehicle record checks. Operate tractor-trailer combination, including doubles (and triples, where applicable) Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment Participate and stay current on all safety training Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor and/or trailer Verify and complete required documentation and reports Maintain accurate daily logs Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures Follow dispatch instructions and communicate with dispatch (e.g. delays, arrivals, equipment problems), as required Demonstrate internal and external customer service Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures Must have acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards Must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements under section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier (FMC) regulations Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.) Ability to hook-up and break-down sets of trailers that require an average lift force of about 100 pounds, several times a day or more. Ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, climb in and out of truck Ability to follow instructions, copmany policies, and complete required training Perform other duties as required All Truck Drivers must meet at least one (1) of the following qualifications for experience: evidence of six (6) months of verifiable driving experience within the previous three (3) years in a commercial motor vehicle (combo tractor-trailer) AND evidence of successful completion of a qualified driver training course, which included a written examination; OR evidence of one (1) year of verifiable driving experience within the previous three (3) years in a commercial motor vehicle (combo tractor-trailer); OR evidence of five (5) years of verifiable driving experience within the previous ten (10) years in a commercial motor vehicle (combo tractor-trailer)
