About The Position

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • CDL Class A License
  • Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • At least 2-years driving experience.
  • Pass a road test given by a current EAS driver.
  • Subject to Motor Vehicle Report to meet the EAS Driver Policy standards.

Responsibilities

  • Check shipment to make sure it is properly secured for transporting to project site.
  • Maneuver equipment in tight areas.
  • Drop and spot trailers
  • Back trucks and trailers in and out of docks, shipping and receiving areas and on job sites.
  • Flexible hours to accommodate pickup and/or delivery times.
  • Inspect trucks and trailers for defects before and after trips.
  • Assure the trucks and trailers stay in roadworthy condition at all times, including service, maintenance, inspections, permits, etc.
  • Contact Transportation Manager for approval of any service or maintenance.
  • Review all required permits, inspections, registrations, etc. regularly and inform Transportation Manager when those are soon to expire.
  • Refuse to transport loads in the event any permits or registrations are incorrect, incomplete or out of date.
  • Maintain all logs as required by Department of Transportation and Environmental Air Systems.
  • Maintain all license requirements and medical requirements as set by the Division of Transportation.
  • Assure the assigned fuel card stays in the truck except when being used to purchase fuel, and alert the Transportation Manager immediately in the event the card does not work or is lost.
  • Be familiar with all Comfort Systems USA policies and abide by those policies at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as deemed necessary by supervision.
