About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Truck Driver - 1st Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be manadatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $24.87 per hour. The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of materials to and from suppliers, vendors, and local customers. Primary duties include picking up steel coils, completing local deliveries within the Troy and Highland areas, and managing additional pickup or delivery tasks as assigned. This position operates Truck Unit 20 and utilizes trailers, tarps, and straps to properly secure all loads. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate delivery documentation, performing routine vehicle inspections, and adhering to all safety and compliance requirements. A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.

Requirements

  • A current CDL - Class A
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Highland, IL (50 miles) will be considered for this position.

  • Successfully pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up steel coils from suppliers and vendors
  • Perform local customer deliveries in the Troy and Highland areas
  • Complete miscellaneous deliveries and pickups as needed
  • Maintaining accurate delivery documentation
  • Performing routine vehicle inspections
  • Adhering to all safety and compliance requirements
