AES Drilling Fluids is seeking Truck Drivers-CDL A for the Pleasanton, TX facility. The CDL Truck Drivers haul products from our various facilities in Pleasanton to drilling rigs in that region and pick up raw materials. Hourly pay $30.25 plus overtime + quarterly + year-end bonuses for drivers at this location. Fantastic benefits! Requirements

  • Must have a Class A CDL with the appropriate endorsements and maintain a valid DOT medical card.
  • Two years of commercial truck driver experience is required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English at a level that would allow the communication, completion, and comprehension of job-related information, instructions, rules/regulations, signs, maps, MSDS and safety guidelines, and required paperwork, etc.
  • Must be able to pass random drug screen, background check and fitness for duty test
  • Must be available to work overtime (paid) and be on call subject to the limitations and requirements established by the DOT.

Nice To Haves

  • HAZMAT and Forklift operator certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate an 18-wheel truck and various trailers to safely and efficiently transport AES products and a variety of materials to designated locations.
  • Responsible for the safe and proper loading, securing, and unloading of materials, barite, equipment, etc., either individually or with the assistance of warehouse personnel, with or without mechanical handling equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip vehicle inspections and adjustments, preventive maintenance, brake adjustments, and minor on-road repairs, as needed, to ensure the vehicle and any trailer are in a safe operating condition and compliant with DOT requirements at all times.
  • Communicate with AES personnel, customers, and other third parties concerning permits, delays, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies, and provides/receives necessary instructions and information.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle (both interior and exterior).
  • Ensure that all documents required to move with the load are available for inspection and that accurate paperwork accompanies the shipment when delivered and accurately tracks delivered products to insure proper credit and correct deliveries.
  • Complete all paperwork required by AES and applicable laws.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Regional Trucking Manager and/or AES management.
