About The Position

This is a hybrid driving/warehouse material handling position. No long haul or overnight deliveries. Emmett-Boise-Meridian-Nampa-Caldwell store locations and other local pickups. Considered candidates may be required to complete and pass a driving test. Essential Functions/Duties: Current Class A CDL driver’s license. Operate all equipment at the highest safety standards. Assist in material handling duties as needed at warehouse and stores. Comfortable driving a Freightliner Cascadia Day Cab tractor with manual transmission pulling 53’ van trailers with capacities of up to 45,000 lb. payloads. Maintain close contact with warehouse supervisors for dispatching and material handling needs. Assist loading when needed and ensuring loads are properly secured for transport. Keep all equipment clean with daily equipment inspections maintained. Obtain appropriate signatures for goods delivered or picked up. Move material using appropriate material handling tools and equipment including but not limited to: by-hand, hand truck, dolly, and/or operation of forklifts or other vehicles. Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • Two years work experience as a Material Handler with working knowledge of inventory systems, proper storage methods.
  • Frequent lifting of 25 to 75 pounds and occasional lifting of over 75 pounds is required.
  • Two years of commercial driving experience with a good safety driving record.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have a valid Class A driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT background check and FMCSA Drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification preferred, not required.
