A Day in The Life of a Truck Driver As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting cargo to and from specified destinations. You will prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick-up of goods to ensure timely service. The delivery vehicle for this role is a 20’ automatic box truck. The position involves approximately 30% driving and 70% warehouse work. Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Requires applicable truck driver license for state. Receive and verify shipments and returns, accurately recording them in computer and RF systems Handle general warehouse tasks, including material handling, sorting, and stocking Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely Arrange and store materials in proper locations, keeping management informed of any changes Manage shipping documents, assist with packing and loading, and stage inventory for efficient order fulfillment Maintain contact with dispatcher to receive instructions for deliveries or pickups Present bills and receipts and collect payments for delivered or loaded goods Maintain records in compliance with regulations Perform minor emergency repairs, such as changing tires or replacing light bulbs What’s in it for You Wesco is not just a job, but a company where you can learn, develop, and build your career!
