About The Position

This position requires someone who has a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
The candidate must have a flexible schedule.
Typical hours will be Midnight to 8:00AM (some flexibility) .This position requires regular lifting and moving of heavy objects.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and can present themselves professionally.
Experience with fork trucks and an ability to demonstrate safe practices is required.
Able to pass the required MVR with no records on your license.

Requirements

• CDL Required or understanding to obtain within 30 days
• Minimum 1 year experience driving trucks with GVW of 26,000 or greater as your primary daily responsibility or equivalent internal Lakeside experience
• Clean driving record
• Experience and demonstrated skill in driving fork trucks safely and efficiently
• Personable
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Organized and punctual
• Self-starter
• Detail oriented
• Familiar with using technology on iPads.
• Comfortable using Software for day to day activity

Responsibilities

• Review daily load for accuracy and work with various departments to fulfill orders needed
• Maintain properly secured loads to ensure safety and prevent material damage
• Maintain daily logs and vehicle inspections
• Help to professionally maintain close customer relationships
• Work closely with scheduling department to expedite time sensitive orders
• Maintain a flexible work schedule
• Travel to Brighton, MI 3 days per week and Traverse City 2 days per week as well as a local delivery 2 days per week after Traverse City Route. Travel to other places as needed.
