About The Position

The position involves operating Tractor and Trailer equipment in compliance with Local, State, and Federal regulations for a private fleet. The driver must possess a Class A CDL, with a Hazmat endorsement being a plus. Candidates must pass a background check, as well as all pre-employment and periodic physicals and drug screens. A clean driving record is essential, along with good time management, organizational, and communication skills. The ideal candidate is a safety-focused team player with a positive attitude.

Requirements

• Must possess Class A CDL.
• Clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience required, 5 or more years preferred.
• Pass background check.
• Pass all pre-employment and periodic physicals and drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting freight between various locations over long distances, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
• Performing equipment inspections before and after each trip to ensure there are no safety or mechanical issues.
• Carefully planning routes to avoid traffic, delays, or unnecessary tolls, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Communicating with customers in a professional manner regarding delivery times and other arrangements, including obtaining signatures upon delivery.
• Ensuring customer receiving teams only unload the number of items per the bill of laden and calling the Logistics Manager for any issues.
• Ensuring the load is secured before leaving for the next stop to prevent damage.
• Following all WinTech Logistics policies.
